mugen is an expansive poly-artist, child of a Japanese mother, Taiwanese + Hakka father, with North Asian ancestry. In 2016, they began tattooing and attended Five Immortals Temple on Wudang Mountain in central China to learn Daoist Medicine.

They are a licensed acupuncturist (LAc). Their current practices include: writing, tattoo, tattoo acupuncture, illustration, qigong + martial arts, and their passion project INDELIBLE [tattoo acupuncture research and ethnography].
