SEMINARY OF TATTOO ACUPUNCTURE + IMPERMANENCE
INDELIBLE is a school, a seminary to grow, expand, and learn spherically—
focusing on medicinal, therapeutic, acupuncture tattoo practices, history, and traditions.
Uplifting indigenous tattooers and their return to tatu offerings—
allowing that shape to become you, how to remember connecting with the roots of these teachings.
Although attempts can be made to erase, remove, or eradicate–it, we can never be destroyed. Our seeds, stories, and origins cannot be erased.
Seeds contain our mitochondrial genetic material, dating back to the continuation of where we “began” from.
As our original matter, carbon, becomes a part of our ephemeral, impermanent bodies through the work of tattoo.
This intention is of great importance in our current paradigm, and as we shift out of the antiquated frameworks that can no longer hold the futures we already exist in—the body, tattoos, acupuncture, are all ancient wisdoms and medicines that will continue on in perpetuity—no matter how hard they try to erase…
we are indelible,
through our everlasting impermanence.

This introduction is a way for you to see the overall landscape of what this course will entail; intention, structure, content, customization—and how it can best support your curiosities and creativity along whatever path you choose.
You can walk from one point to the other, walk to and from and customize your areas of interest, or the stop in one area and sit for while.
The course is sectioned into parts, to highlight areas of focus, so you can choose what area(s) you’d like to learn.
laying the foundation
Laying the Foundation will span through the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine theory, history, philosophy, cosmology, and elements of Daoist practice.
We will approach each section of this course with an opening ritual unique to each subject.
It will include: Chinese Cosmology + Numerology,Yinyang [ 陰陽 ] Theory, Five Phases [ 五行 ]. Heavenly Stems + Earthly Branches [ 天干地支 ], and more.
HISTORY OF TATTOO ACUPUNCTURE
Acknowledgement, history, and actions to indigenous people who were the first to offer this practice.
This cannot be offered without acknowledging indigenous people everywhere. This course is FREE to any indigenous interested in this information.
While understanding the complexities of tattoo anthropology and misrepresentations of indigenous peoples, their work is included to bridge the many gaps, owing to colonization. The intention is to uplift and center indigenous tattooers their practices, remebrance, research and to hear directly from them.

This section asks us to go much deeper into the body as a landscape. Some basic understanding of Chinese Medicine theory or the Laying the Foundation section of the course, is highly encouraged before moving into this portion.
Please note that this course is to have a basic and general understanding of chinese medicine theory, cosmology, and the overall map of the merdians and points.

This section is a beautiful way to honor yourself and those you work with through combining everything you know and learn throughout this course and your own personal practice.
Guidelines are here to help navigate your own unique way of supporting others through the journey of transforming the body; culturally, spiritually, energetically through symbolism, imagery, and what is creatively coming through you.
We’ll be learning more about your own style and how it could apply to placement, design, flow, how you’d like to work with each person’s body and their intentions.

Why TATTOO ACUPUNCTURE?
TATTOO: comes from the Tahitian word “tatu” or “tatau”
“tat” –the sound of the tattooing tool tapping onto the skin.
“au” –the sound of pain as a tattoo is happening.
ACUPUNCTURE: comes from Latin, first documented in English in the late 1680s.
“acus” – needle or proto-indo-european root “ak” which means, “sharp” or “pierce”
“Punctura”-- Latin punctus “to prick” or “to pierce” or “the act of perforating or piercing”
