SEMINARY OF TATTOO ACUPUNCTURE + IMPERMANENCE
INDELIBLE is a school, a seminary to grow, expand, and learn spherically—
allowing that shape to become you—how to remember connecting with the roots of these teachings.
Although attempts can be made to erase, remove, or eradicate–it, we can never be destroyed. Our seeds, stories, and origins cannot be erased.
Seeds contain our mitochondrial genetic material, dating back to the continuation of where we “began” from.
As our original matter, carbon, becomes a part of our ephemeral, impermanent bodies through the work of tattoo.
This intention is of great importance in our current paradigm, and as we shift out of the antiquated frameworks that can no longer hold the futures we already exist in—the body, tattoos, acupuncture, are all ancient wisdoms and medicines that will continue on in perpetuity—no matter how hard they try to erase…
we are indelible,
through our everlasting impermanence.

“delere” – a latin verb, “to destroy” or “to wipe out”

Why SEMINARY?
“se-” – root comes from the proto-indo-european root, “to sow”
“semen” – seed
“seminarium” latin for “plant nursery” in preparation to be transplanted
“seminal” – in literature and art, people talk about seminal works, the works of one’s origin
Why IMPERMANENCE?
“in/m”-- “not” or “opposite”
“permanere”-- Latin root, “to endure through”
Why TATTOO ACUPUNCTURE?
TATTOO: comes from the Tahitian word “tatu” or “tatau”
“tat” –the sound of the tattooing tool tapping onto the skin.
“au” –the sound of pain as a tattoo is happening.
ACUPUNCTURE: comes from Latin, first documented in English in the late 1680s.
“acus” – needle or proto-indo-european root “ak” which means, “sharp” or “pierce”
“Punctura”-- Latin punctus “to prick” or “to pierce” or “the act of perforating or piercing”
